Nimo never lets anyone type in a free-text time. Instead, every booking is picked from your real open slots — which keeps appointments inside your hours and free of clashes. To make that work, Nimo needs to know when you're available.
Setting your availability
Your availability is a set of rules: the days you work, your start and end times, breaks, and how long each slot is. The slot length also sets the appointment length — pick a 15-minute slot and the appointment is 15 minutes.
From these rules, plus your existing appointments, Nimo generates the open slots that staff and patients can book into.
Connecting Google Calendar
Connect your personal Google Calendar from Settings → Calendar to keep the two in step, per doctor.
Nimo → Google. When an appointment is created, confirmed, rescheduled, or cancelled, the matching event appears or updates on your Google Calendar automatically.
Google → Nimo. When Nimo works out which slots to offer, it checks your Google Calendar for busy blocks and hides any slot that clashes with a personal event. So a 10–11 AM block on your own calendar simply won't be offered to patients.
Good to know
- Connect once. After the initial sign-in, Nimo keeps the connection alive on its own — you won't be asked again.
- Your personal events stay private and untouched. Nimo only reads them as busy time; it never edits or shows their contents.
- Best-effort sync. If Google is ever unreachable, your appointments still work normally — booking never waits on Google.
- Disconnecting stops future syncing. Events already created on Google stay where they are.
If you have no availability rules set, the slot picker will show an empty state — that's the usual reason "there are no slots". Add your hours and they appear.
