Why we built Nimo

Ask an independent doctor what they love about the work, and almost none of them say "the documentation." They talk about the patient in front of them — the puzzle of a tricky case, the relief on a worried face, the long relationships built one visit at a time.

Then ask where their day actually goes. A surprising amount of it disappears into paperwork built for someone else: templates that don't quite fit, an EMR that feels like data entry, a prescription written once by hand and again on a screen. The best part of the job keeps getting interrupted by the tedious part.

That gap is where Nimo started.

A calm assistant, not another tab

We didn't set out to build another dashboard to manage. We set out to build the quiet, capable colleague every busy clinic wishes it had — someone who listens during the visit, writes the note, gets the prescription right, and then gets out of the way.

The test we hold ourselves to is simple: after a visit, the doctor should have less to do, not more. If a feature adds a step instead of removing one, it doesn't belong in Nimo.

Built for small clinics, on purpose

Nimo is made for independent doctors and small clinics — one to five doctors and a few helpers. That's not a stepping stone to something bigger; it's the whole point. Software built for large hospitals carries their complexity everywhere it goes: forms nobody needs, settings nobody touches, workflows designed for a department, not a person.

By staying focused on small clinics, we get to keep Nimo fast, warm, and simple — the way good tools should feel.
