# Prescriptions & templates

> Add prescriptions in a tap, reuse your common combinations, and print a clean Rx.

Most doctors prescribe the same handful of combinations every week. Nimo lets you
save those as **templates** and apply them in a single tap — then hand the patient
a clean, printed prescription.

## Adding prescriptions

On a visit, open the **Prescriptions** panel and add medicines. You can:

- Pick from your **medicine catalog** (tuned to your system of medicine), or
- Type a **custom medicine** if it isn't in the catalog.

For each line, set the dose, frequency, and duration. The more you prescribe a
medicine, the higher Nimo floats it in your picker — your common drugs rise to
the top on their own.

## Templates

A template is a saved bundle of medicines — "URTI starter", "Hypertension
follow-up", and so on. Apply one and every medicine drops into the Rx pad at once,
still fully editable.

Templates come in three flavours:

- **Private** — only you see them. This is the default for ones you create.
- **Shared** — visible to everyone in the practice, for clinic-wide standards.
- **System** — a curated starter set Nimo ships for your system of medicine.

Manage your templates from **Clinic settings → Templates**. Found a useful one in
a library? Copy it to your own — your copy stays yours even if anything changes
later.

Templates are matched to your practice's system of medicine, so an allopathy
clinic never sees homeopathy templates, and vice versa. (Treatment-plan practices
like physiotherapy and psychology don't use prescription templates.)

## Nimo suggests templates

After a recorded visit, Nimo checks whether one of your templates fits what was
discussed. If it finds a strong match, it offers it for you to accept or dismiss.
If nothing matches, you'll see a brief "Nimo checked — no matching template" note
that quietly fades — no clutter. Nimo only ever suggests from your existing
templates; it never invents a medicine.

## Printing the Rx

From the Prescriptions panel, tap **Print** to open a clean, A4 prescription with
your practice letterhead, the patient's details, and the numbered medicine list —
ready to sign and hand over. The print page strips away all the app's buttons so
only the prescription comes out.

The ℞ symbol appears for systems that use it (allopathy, dental, homeopathy) and
is omitted for ayurveda, unani, and siddha.
